AWS does not have the ability for you to upgrade our lightsail instance. you can duplicate it in to new instance.
Steps
- Make a snapshot of your current instance.
- Go to the snapshot and click on the three dots on the right, you will see some options. click on the Create New Instance
- At this point you able to specify the memory,size…etc
- Now detach your static IP from Old instance and Assign it to new instance.
- Do testing
- if everything looks good then you can delete the old instance.
Note: keep in mind if you have stopped the old instance without deleteing. then you will get Charge!
